Horse lovers know when the time comes to make that final decision on what is best for our ailing horse, it is an excruciating one, and is NEVER easy. We all lost two beautiful horses this month, Horseshoe Butt, and Clever.
Both decisions were made out of love for the horses, and the realization that their quality of life was no longer there. We all mourn their loss and will always keep them in our hearts.
It is with admiration and respect that I make this statement...Thank you on behalf of all of us who will someday face this same tough, heartbreaking decision. You have shown that, even though we never want to say goodbye to our beautiful pets, sometime we have no choice. So, be assured that all of us know how hard that decision was, and all of us hold you in our hearts with love and respect. You have show us what it takes to be brave, and how to make that final decision with love and grace.
Also, I want to thank Paul for the kind, caring, and respectful way that he set these horses spirits free. "When the going gets tough, the tough get going!" Nothing can be more heartwrenching than to free a horse from it's pain and suffering. It takes a very special person to perform under such pressure. Hats off to you, Paul. You are that very special person. Thank you for helping us with this final decision and for being the good man you are.
