This page is dedicated to the people who have given their time, energy, resources, and prayers to the care of these wonderful animals. WE CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!
Sam and Kathy Guadagnoli of Colorado Springs have allowed us the use of this beautiful 850 acre ranch, on a free lease, so that we are able to continue doing what we do....helping horses! We would not be able to do this without them and their very generous support. THANK YOU SAM AND KATHY!!
Roberta Ringstrom - Honorable mention is just not enough to express our thanks to this awesome lady. She has been a staunch supporter since late December 2007, raising funds, helping to coordinate rescue operations, contributing several thousand dollars of her own money to help buy feed, pay for emergency vet care as well as providing many a lunch to other volunteers on weekends. We lovingly refer to her as our "Water Girl" because she is adamant that the horses have clean fresh water available to them at all times. She has also adopted 2 of our older "lost cause" pasture pals and takes great pride in the fact that they are warming to her and becoming quite social and gentle at least with her. They whinny when they see her Jeep approach because they know she is bringing them treats. When things look impossible, we can count on Roberta to get us through, she will raise our spirits as well as our bank accounts with her diligent fund raising efforts. She also is very adept with a shovel and rake and does not shy away from mucking runs or stalls. The comfort and care of our horses is her passion. Thank you Roberta, I am glad to call you friend. Denny and Ann McNeil have taken on DreamCatchers as a project. When we needed promotional materials we could not afford, they beat the pavement, email, and phones to raise over $1000 to help us pay for our new T-Shirts, towels, and mugs! THANK YOU Denny and Ann for your heartfelt support!!
Ben Evans not only did the amazing drawings featured on our mugs, but he is also now DreamCatchers official artist! Check out his website at
http://www.benevansart.com/ Mark and Michelle Eberhart of Bailey have been dedicated to helping these horses, coming down as often as they can to pitch in where needed. Michelle was instrumental in us being awarded the Channel 4 News Pay It Forward award, and Mark, an electrician by trade, wired our barn for lights and electricity! They never come empty-handed to the ranch, usually bringing bags of feed, buckets, supplies, and elbow grease, and often Mark will bring his tools to pitch in on any project we may need help with.
PetSmart Charities has been a large contributor to our success by awarding us a grant for emergency medical care for the 32 Park County horses that came to us beginning December 2007 through Januaury 2008. We would not have been able to do it without their support!
Thank you to the American Humane Association for their continued financial support! We appreciate you!
We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Bobbie Jo Priestley of the Park County Animal Control office in Fairplay, Co. Bobbie Jo has been instrumental in the Park County Animal Control office supporting DreamCatchers as our Fiscal Sponsor until our final approval for 501(c)3 status is received. She participated in our March Adoption Fair and has been a great supporter of DreamCatchers since 2007...THANK YOU BOBBIE JO!
Mr. Ed (Jocz) - Yes, that is what we call him and he loves being associated with a talking horse. What can we say about Mr. Ed. Since January of 2008 he has been a fixture here at the rescue, working side by side with Paul and Steve, plumbing, electrical, buiding shelters, fences. Feeding, exercising, grooming, training horses with Julie and helping to move the herd from place to place when necessary. He has recently taken on weekend responsibility for feeding the mash horses to give Julie a break...
Ed is an amazing person...he actually thanks us for allowing him to help out when it is us that owe him a big thank you for being our rock. No one works harder than Mr. Ed for the horses. We owe a special thank you to Mr. Ed's wife Glenda for sharing this wonderful man with us on weekends...
Mr. Ed was adopted by Chip (son of Diamond who was rescued January 2008 from Jefferson, CO) in December of 2008. They are quite the pair...Mr. Ed is quickly learning the in's and out's of working with a young horse and is doing an awesome job with Chip...he is going to be a magnificent horse when he gets all grown up.
Natalie Wylie of Woodland Park, has made the babies her project....she and her friends held a bake sale raising over $300 to go towards buying the little ones their own big bale of grass hay (2 now), equine junior, salt and mineral blocks and probiotics. Natalie and Gabrielle spend their time at the ranch hanging out with the kids and keeping their pen spic and span. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Natalie Wiley, Collette Bates, Becky Wiley, Nicole Achord, Gabrielle Schnierle for their support of our rescue babies!!! You guys ROCK!!!
Thank you to the ASPCA for their grant of $4,000 emergency funds for the purchase of hay for our herd...We could not exist without the support of organizations like this and their generosity.
