You just never know what will happen! But watching a horse bloom under the careful love and attention of their own special person is such a blessing to see. There is no greater gift than to see the glowing health in a well loved horse, or the shining happiness and pride in the face of their own special person!
Unfortunately, our available space on the website does not allow us to post pictures of all the horses who have found new and loving homes, but we CAN list some of them! CONGRATULATIONS to the following for finding your own special horse, and providing these animals with the loving homes they deserve! These are just some of the horses out of 66 placed so far this year, with 3 more pending adoption, so we will be adding more soon!

Peanut, now better known as Nutter Butter, is truly a success. He came to us from the Epona Center in March 2008. He was originally rescued from a PMU operation (pregnant mare urine) where they keep the mares bred to produce hormones and discard the foals. Peanut was one of 19 babies that were nearly dead when rescued, having pneumonia and strangles and being severely underweight. He is one of only 7 that lived from this group. As a result of his poor care in his first days of life, Peanut has suffered with a paralysis in his esophogas that made it necessary to feed him a liquid diet. Otherwise he would choke. We began in June of 2008 to increase the consistency of Peanuts food, suffered through many chokes with him but perservered and today, Peanut is not only a normal horse, he can even go out on pasture and eat hay. Peanut has been adopted by Jennifer of Midway (she ranks 5th in the nation in eventing) You may see Peanut on the show circuit someday soon carrying Jennifer to fame and fortune. He is much loved and cherished by Jennifer and her whole family.
Flagg (now to be known as Flicka)
Our little girl is all grown up and has gone home to her new Mom, Beverly and her buddy Moses (a 3 yr old POA). Beverly came to DreamCatchers with the intent of falling in love with a bay arabian, or really any color arabian, her favorite breed. She knew she would find her heartmate here and she did....while looking at Comet, the bay arabian, she met Flagg, our little chestnut mustang. She was so taken with Flaggs sweetness and her kind eyes, she could not get over it. When we walked back toward the gate to exit the pasture, Flagg shadowed her the entire way, stopping when she did and staying as close as horsely possible without stepping on her. When the herd started to scuffle, Flagg placed herself between Beverly and the potential danger. When we exited the pasture, Flagg stood at the gate and pawed it as if to say, wait for me, I want to come. A day later, Beverly was back, trailer in tow, just in case...It was destiny because given the opportunity, Flagg jumped right in. We bypassed the usual procedures to expedite this adoption partly because Beverly has such tremendous references and oodles of experience with horses but mostly because you could tell, it was what Flagg wanted. Beverly has renamed her Flicka after the mare portrayed in the original Maureen O'Hara novels, who was by the way a chestnut, not black.
Just goes to show that you never know what horse will buy you and steal your heart!!!

Angel, a 2 year old Mustang filly, came to us through a seizure in Park County. Thin and very shy of humans, she soon bloomed and as her health improved, her personality shone through with flying colors! Angel was adopted on March 1, 2008 by Michelle Todd of Larkspur, shown here the day Angel came home.
But Angel, now named Zoey, has blossomed into a gorgeous, happy liver chestnut mare in only a few months! This is Zoey only 2 months later, after being doted on by her new family! WOW!

Michelle also adopted Trixie, who came to us from Wyoming in such bad shape that when her blanket was removed, Julie immediately called the vet thinking she was going to die.

Trixie shortly after she came to us, and after gaining about 100 pounds.
Trixie NOW! WOW, what a difference!

Skipper came to DreamCatchers in horribly emaciated condition. An older Palomino gelding, he was severely underweight, and had a sadness in his eyes that was heartbreaking to see.
Skipper was put in foster care with Brenda in Bennett but has now been adopted. And BOY, has he come a long way!
Just look at this handsome guy now!
